Individual Scholarship Funds

Helping young people afford a college education is a goal that many donors share.

You can support college education for deserving young people or enterprising adults with a gift of $50,000 or more to establish an Individual Scholarship Fund at the Foundation. Your fund can be listed in your name or you can choose to name it after a family member to forever memorialize his or her commitment to education.

With Individual Scholarship Funds of $50,000 or more, you can name specific selection criteria for your scholar within the General Scholarship Endowment or as a separate scholarship fund. Fund representatives may participate in the Hartford Foundation Board-approved selection process, as desired. The Foundation will handle scholarship marketing, distributions, and renewals.

By giving any amount to the Hartford Foundation's General Scholarship Endowment Fund, you can make a substantial impact on area students. Click here for more information about the General Scholarship Endowment Fund.
